ELA A10 IP–Today we read and discussed a selection entitled “Inspector Denny’s Strange Case.”

ELA 9 and ELA 98–Today we finished the good copy of the descriptive paragraph.

ELA A10 IP–Today we read our library books, wrote a spelling test, and discussed how certain secrets of deception (magic, etc.) are done.

ELA 9 and ELA 98–Today we read our library books and finished the rough copy of our descriptive paragraph assignment.

ELA A10 IP–Today we finished writing the rough copy of our ghost stories.  Students will be typing the good copies in Mrs. Mckinnon’s class.  The good copy should be finished by the end of period five tomorrow.

ELA 9 and ELA 98–Today we wrote a quiz on sentence faults (everyone did very well), and we began a descriptive paragraph assignment for which students described their ideal place.

ELA A10 IP–Today we worked on writing our ghost stories.  The jigsaw story map, setting, and character descriptions are due tomorrow at the beginning of class.  As well, the beginning of the plot is due tomorrow.

ELA 9 and ELA 98–Today we read our library books, reviewed run-on sentences, and read and discussed a story entitled “What I Did On My Park Vacation.”  There is a quiz on run-ons and fragments tomorrow.

ELA A10–Today we worked on the ghost story writing assignment.  The jigsaw story map and the setting are due on Tuesday.

ELA 9 and ELA 98–Today we finished the good copy of our narrative paragraph assignment.  For those who did not finish, it is due on Tuesday at the beginning of class.
