ELA 9, B10, and 98–Dear parents and students, Mr. Arndt will continue to update his blog after Christmas.  Have a Merry Christmas!!!

ELA B10–Today we discussed “On the Bridge,”watched a short video about a family that made a decision to help others, and learned how to punctuate titles.

ELA 98–Today we read silently, discussed the questions for “Charles,” and started a descriptive paragraph assignment. (Each student will describe a person who has had an impact on his/her life).

ELA 9–Today we wrote the rough and good copies of the descriptive paragraph.

ELA B10–Today we discussed the movie reviews, learned about punctuating titles, and read the story entitled “On the Bridge.”

ELA 98–Today we had silent reading, reviewed adverbs, had a short quiz on adverbs, and read the story entitled “Charles.”

ELA 9–Today we worked on the descriptive paragraph assignment.  We brainstormed ideas, wrote topic sentences and conclusions, and numbered our ideas.  On Monday we will write the rough and good copies.

ELA 98–Today we finished our discussion about the fact that our environment shapes our personalities.  We also learned about adverbs.

ELA 9–Today we read our library books,  read “The Jade Peony,” and started a descriptive paragraph assignment in which we described a relative who’s had an impact on us.
